Pier extension in north-east Lantau
The Government has been approved to reconstruct and extend a pier within an area of about 3,300 square metres of foreshore and seabed at Tso Wan in north-east Lantau.
The pier to be extended southward will be about 18 metres long and four metres wide with an area of 72 square metres.
Construction will commence later this month and scheduled for completion in
mid-1996.
The extent of the area affected is contained in a notice published in the Government Gazette today (Friday).
Any person who considers that his interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and seabed involved will be injuriously affected may submit a written claim for compensation to the Director of Lands before March 22, 1997.
He should state in his submission the sum of money he is willing to accept in full and final settlement of his claim and should submit such particulars which he possesses to substantiate his claim.

Fresh water cut in mid-levels
Fresh water supply to some premises in the mid-levels will be temporarily suspended from 11 pm on Monday (March 25) to 6 am the following day to facilitate testing of watermains.
