Repatriation of ECVIIS resumes
The repatriation of Ex-China Vietnamese Illegal Immigrants (ECVIIs) to China has resumed, a Government spokesman announced today (Saturday).
Sixty ECVIIS, comprising 24 men, 15 women, 13 boys and eight girls, were repatriated to Beihai, Guangxi by air this morning.
The ECVII population in Hong Kong was thus reduced to about 260, the spokesman added.

$94,500 awarded to family of traffic accident victim
The Social Welfare Department has approved $94,500 from the Traffic Accident Victims Assistance (TAVA) Fund to the family of a man who was killed after his motor-cycle crashed into a light goods vehicle and a public light bus during a traffic accident which occurred on Tuen Mun Road on June 7.
