MTRC and Government have already discussed on various occasions with many different parties concerned on issues related to the noise prevention facilities at the Tsing Yi North AR Station, eg, meetings with the Kwai Tsing District Board, its various sub-committees and Area Committees concerned respectively in December 1993, March 1994, as well as January, February and April this year. The Kwai Tsing District Office has assisted in these consultations and will continue to arrange various forums for aflected local residents to air their views and concerns over the construction and operation of the AR in the district. Indeed, I understand that another meeting with the Hon Mr Lee Wing Tat and representatives of the Mutual Aid Committee of Cheung On Estate has been scheduled to be held on 8 May. Members can therefore be assured that further consultations and briefing sessions with groups concerned will continue to be conducted as and when appropriate.
