THE TRADE DESCRIPTION OF THE INDEXES HAS ALSO BEEN REVISED. TO BETTER REFLECT THAT THE INDEX FIGURES ARE CLASSIFIED BY RETAIL OUTLETS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPAL LINE OF PRODUCTS SOLD (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS THE MAJOR TRADE GROUPS AND SELECTED TRADES).

THE

PRESENTATION HAS ALSO BEEN EXPANDED TO COVER INDEXES OTHER RETAIL OUTLETS NOT SEPARATELY PUBLISHED PREVIOUSLY.

FOR

MOREOVER, THE CLASSIFICATION OF RETAIL OUTLETS HAS BEEN REVISED ACCORDING то THE NEW HONG KONG STANDARD INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION (HSIC), BUT THE REVISED CLASSIFICATION HAS ONLY EFFECT ON THE COVERAGE OF THE RETAIL OUTLETS.
