STORE FOOD PROPERLY BEFORE COOKING AND SHELLFISH KEPT IN REFRIGERATOR IF NOT FOR IMMEDIATE CONSUMPTION;

REMOVE THE GRIT AND DIRT OF SHELLFISH WITH A BRUSH; AND

DISCARD THE INTESTINES AND OTHER DUBIOUS OR SUCH AS SHELLS.
