THE MAIN AREAS OF COMPLAINT INCLUDED REGULARITY OF SERVICE, CONDITIONS OF VEHICLES/VESSELS, AND PASSENGER SERVICES AND FACILITIES.
THE SPOKESMAN SAID COMPLAINTS ABOUT ROAD CONGESTION DECREASED BY 31 PER CENT TO 164 CASES, 37 ON HONG KONG ISLAND, 70 IN KOWLOON, 56 IN THE NEW TERRITORIES AND ONE IN TUNNELS OR OTHER AREAS.

THE MAJOR AREAS OF COMPLAINT WERE DEFECTIVE ROAD SURFACES, FAULTY TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND DAMAGED TRAFFIC SIGNS OR AIDS.
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT CASES STOOD AT 345, ONE CASE MORE THAN

NUMBER RECORDED IN THE PREVIOUS QUARTER.
THESE WERE RELATED MAINLY TO REQUESTS FOR ENFORCEMENT ACTION AGAINST ILLEGAL PARKING AND MOTORISTS FAILING TO COMPLY WITH TRAFFIC REGULATIONS, THE SPOKESMAN SAID.
