CHAIRMAN OF THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE, DR RAYMOND HO, SAID TODAY (MONDAY) BUILDING MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS WILL DELIVER SPEECHES AT THE ONE-DAY SEMINAR WHICH WILL BE FOLLOWED DISCUSSIONS.

"THE SPEECHES WILL COVER VARIOUS ASPECTS OF BUILDING MANAGEMENT INCLUDING SELF-HELP IN BUILDING MANAGEMENT, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT AGENTS, LEGAL ASPECTS OF BUILDING MANAGEMENT, EFFECT OF MANAGEMENT CHARGES ON BUILDING MANAGEMENT, UNAUTHORISED BUILDING WORKS AND BUILDING REFURBISHMENT

AND MAINTENANCE.

"OTHER TOPICS WILL INCLUDE MANAGEMENT OF RESIDENTIAL, SHOPPING, OFFICE AND INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS, BUILDING MAINTENANCE, FIRE SAFETY AND PREVENTION, SECURITY, AND HYGIENE, PROPERTY AND ASSETS MANAGEMENT, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, AND COMPUTERISED PROPERTY MANAGEMENT," DR HO ADDED.

THE SEMINAR IS TARGETTED AT PROPERTY MANAGERS AND BUILDING MANAGEMENT STAFF. MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC, AS WELL AS TERTIARY STUDENTS, WHO ARE INTERESTED IN BUILDING MANAGEMENT ARE ALSO WELCOME TO ATTEND.
