Flight Lieutenant Recton was the RAF Helicopter Instructor loan service to the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force from 1986 1989. He was responsible for instructional and operational flying standards within the RHKAAF and was closely involved with providing specialist advice on the replacement helicopter programme.
