THIS YEAR'S FIGHT CRIME PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN STARTED WITH THE LAUNCHING OF A COMIC BOOKLET TODAY (SUNDAY).

FIRST COPIES OF THE FIGHT CRIME COMIC BOOKLET NO. 2, A JOINT PUBLICATION BY THE POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS BRANCH AND THE DENON STUDIO, WERE DISTRIBUTED AT A PUBLIC FUNCTION HOSTED BY THE "ROBOTCOP" AND PRESENTERS FROM THE JUNIOR POLICE CALL TV PROGRAMME.

THE EXERCISE ATTRACTED THOUSANDS OF YOUNG COMIC BOOK FANS WHO WERE ALSO DELIGHTED TO HAVE A CHANCE TO SEE THE FRIENDLY "ROBOTCOP" IN ACTION.

MORE THAN 10,000 COPIES OF THE BOOKLET AND MATCHING BOOKMARKS WERE DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN 2 PM AND 4 PM TODAY, A POLICE SPOKESMAN SAID.

HE SAID THE 32-PAGE CHINESE COMIC BOOKLET, TARGETTED AT YOUNGSTERS AGED 10 TO 14, WOULD BE AVAILABLE, FREE OF CHARGE, AT ALL DISTRICT OFFICES AND DISTRICT POLICE COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICES FROM TOMORROW.
