WE WERE ALSO CONCERNED WITH TECHNOLOGIES THAT WERE NOT YET BEING EXTENSIVELY APPLIED IN HONG KONG BUT WERE BEING USED SUCCESSFULLY ELSEWHERE, MR YEUNG ADDED.

"TAKING THESE THREE BASIC CONSIDERATIONS INTO ACCOUNT, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT A TRAINING SCHEME THAT WOULD WORK IN HONG KONG WOULD NEED TO BE CREATED OUTSIDE THE FRAMEWORK OF THE TRAINING AUTHORITIES' TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL INSTRUCTION COURSES, " HE SAID.

"GIVEN THAT MANY OF THE TECHNOLOGIES WE ARE CONSIDERING ARE NOT YET BEING APPLIED EXTENSIVELY WITHIN HONG KONG, WE MUST TURN ΤΟ THE PRIVATE SECTORS OF THOSE COUNTRIES THAT ARE APPLYING THEM, AND SEEK TO ARRANGE TRAINING ATTACHMENTS FOR OUR TECHNOLOGISTS TECHNICIANS.
