THE AMENDED PLAN RESERVES 7.2 HECTARES OF LAND NEXT TO TAI WAI RAILWAY STATION FOR A POSSIBLE RAIL SYSTEM CONNECTING SHA TIN WITH MA ON SHAN, A KOWLOON-CANTON RAILWAY BRANCH LINE TO KWAI CHUNG AND THE POSSIBLE MASS TRANSIT RAILWAY (EAST KOWLOON LINE) EXPANSION AS WELL AS A RAILWAY DEPOT.
COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT MAY TAKE PLAGE ABOVE THE DEPOT.
A SITE NEXT TO TIN SAM VILLAGE HAS BEEN RESERVED FOR THE PRIVATE SECTOR PARTICIPATION SCHEME.
