A GENERAL LAND USE ZONING REVIEW FOR THE TAI PO KAU
AN AREA FOLLOWING A DETAILED PLANNING STUDY. ADDITIONAL 21.5 HECTARES OF LAND IS FOUND SUITABLE FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AND REZONED 'RESIDENTIAL (GROUP C)'. ABOUT 18.6 HECTARES OF LAND, ON THE OTHER HAND, IS REZONED GREEN BELT' FOR PROTECTION FROM DEVELOPMENT.
* DESIGNATION OF A NEW 'RECREATION PRIORITY AREA'
ZONE OF ABOUT 36 HECTARES NEAR TAI PO KAU VILLAGE WHERE THE AREA BASED AROUND THE EXISTING FISH PONDS IS FOUND SUITABLE FOR A VARIETY OF RECREATIONAL USES, INCLUDING WATER RECREATION, PICNICKING/BARBEQUING AND OTHER RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES.
REVISING THE LAYOUT OF THE GENERAL AREA OF ST CHRISTOPHER'S HOME AND ITS ADJACENT AREA IN TAI PO KAU, INCLUDING THE DESIGNATION OF TWO +COMPREHENSIVE REDEVELOPMENT AREAS WHICH TOTAL ABOUT 13.7 HECTARES IN AREA.
THE SCHEDULE OF NOTES TO THE PLAN HAS ALSO BEEN REVISED.
THE AMENDMENT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED AT THE TOWN PLANNING DIVISION, 4TH FLOOR, MURRAY BUILDING, GARDEN ROAD; THE DISTRICT OFFICE (CENTRAL AND WESTERN) PUBLIC ENQUIRY SUB-OFFICE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT OFFICES, WEST WING ENTRANCE; AND THE DISTRICT OFFICE (TAI PO), TING KOK ROAD, TA PO MARKET, NEW TERRITORIES.
ANY PERSON AFFECTED BY THE AMENDMENTS TO THE PLAN MAY SUBMIT HIS OBJECTION IN WRITING TO THE SECRETARY, TOWN PLANNING BOARD, C/O LANDS DEPARTMENT, 4TH FLOOR, MURRAY BUILDING, GARDEN ROAD, HONG KONG.
THE DRAFT AMENDMENT PLAN IS ON SALE AT THE SURVEY DIVISION, LANDS DEPARTMENT ON THE 5TH FLOOR OF MURRAY BUILDING AND THE KOWLOON MAP SALES SECTION, 382 NATHAN ROAD, AT $10 FOR A BLACK-AND-WHITE COPY AND $60 FOR A COLOURED COPY.
