Mr. LAU King-wang

Mr. Lau joined the Government in 1954 as a Temporary Clerk and in 1961 became a Welfare Supervisor in the Social Welfare Department. He was promoted to Principal Welfare Supervisor in 1969 and regraded to Social Work Assistant in 1979. Since 1961 he has been employed at the Castle Peak Boys' Home, engaged in the supervision and correctional training of residents, and latterly in the supervision of certain staff there.

Mr. LEI Siu-keung

Mr. Lei joined the Medical Department as a Labourer

in 1947. In 1949 he transferred as an Uncertificated Social Worker, and was promoted to his present rank of Principal Welfare Assistant in 1973. He has been acting as an Assistant Social Work Officer since 1978 (now Social Security Officer II). On several occasions he has been active in the registration and relief of those made homeless in public disasters, and for some years was responsible for the management of one of the two kitchens operated by the Social Welfare Department for mass feeding in times of need. More recently he has been responsible for the processing of applications for the various types of social

security payments.

Mr. LI But

Mr. Li was first appointed in the Government Service

He was confirmed to the permanent as a Temporary Clerk in 1947. and pensionable establishment in 1949. He has served continuously as a Steward Class I since 1959, save for a three year period when he acted as an Assistant Hospital Secretary.
