supervisor and leader. In recent years, Mr. Law has been the Officer-in-

Charge of the General Registry at the New Territories Services Dept. H.Q.

and has played an important role in organising the Registry to meet the

heavy and increasing needs placed on it as a result of the developments

in the New Territories.

Mr. LAW Sui-wing

Mr. Law has been the Officer-in-Charge of the Sha Tin District Land

Registry since 1974. Before that, he worked for many years in the Tai Po

District Land Registry.

The establishment of a separate Sha Tin District was necessitated

by the development of the New Town. The physical development has had to be

preceded by a programme of land acquisition on an enormous scale. The fact

that this programme has been carried out successfully is largely due to the

meticulous planning, organisation and effort which Mr. Law has put in to

the efficient running of the Land Registry.

Mr. LEUNG Chun

Mr. Leung has worked conscientiously and efficiently throughout his

career. He is now posted in the Malaria Prevention Section in Central

District. During his 31 years service in a job that attracts little public

attention, he has faithfully carried out duties to a required standard and

ensured that the staff under him also met that standard.

Mr. 100 Chi-ming

Mr. Loo was first appointed as a Temporary Clerk in the Education

Department in 1953 and is due for retirement on 15th September 1979.

During his service he has proved himself to have been consistently
