Mr. Willian CHIN „ai-lan

Mr. Chan has been working with the Government for 27 years

first as a clerk, then as an interpreter/translator, and since 1969 as

an Executive Officer in the Home Affairs Department.

He is presently

the Assistant City District Officer (Liaison) for the Easter City

District.

Mr. Chan is very well know anong the local Kaifongs, Clansuan

Associations, District Associations, Mutual aid Committees and Owners

Corporations, many of which he has helped to set up. He was also the

driving force behind the establishment of the Easter Recreation and

Sport Advancement Association and the Eastem District Federation of

Multi-storey Buildings.

Mr. Gordon CHENG Kwok-dung

Since his first appointment as assistant Transport Supervisor

in 1960, Mr. Cheng has displayed a high degree of organising ability in

the administration of the Government's pool transport system. The

expansion of pool transport services over the years placed increased

responsibilities on him, and he met these demands with determination

and cheerfulness. Mr. Cheng's exemplary devotion to-duty has become an

example to his subordinates and has won the respect and admiration of

his seniors.

Mr. J Muk

Mr. Iu first joined the service in 1953 as a Gardener Class 2.

For the past 20 years, he has been in charge of the Aviary, Zoological

and Botanical Gardens, looking after the birds at all hours and in all

weathers, and much of the credit for the present remarkable bird collection

and its success in breeding must lie with Mr. Iu's patience, experience

and hard work,
