Sir Shiu Kin has rendered unfailing support to the development

of social services in Hong Kong. This building is yet another splendid

example of what he has done for the medical and health services.

the number of his projects in this vicinity have turned it into a Tang

Shiu Kin medical village a refuge for the sick of the North shore

of the Island.

This Centre includes the Dental Therapists Training School and

the School Dental Clinic. While this Centre bears my name at Sir Shiu

Kin's request, as a token of Government's appreciation it is only befitting

that the School and the Clinic should be named after him, and I express to

him my heartfelt sense of his generosity and public spirit.

I now have the greatest pleasure in declaring the Ma Lehose

Dental Centre open.
