WALK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR JUBILEE SPORES CENTRE
À momsoth community walk to raise funds in aid of the Silver
Jubilee Appeal Fund will be held in the New Territories in November.
The "Walk For Sport" is part of a New Territories-wide drive
to raise money as the N.T. people's contribution towards the Appeal

Fund which will be used to help finance the Jubilee Sports Centre to be
built in Sha Tin.
A press conference, at which details of the walk will be
announced, will be held on Thursday (September 29) at 2.45 p.m. in the
G.I.S. Theatre on the fifth floor of Beaconsfield House.

PUBLIC CAR OWNERS INFORMED OF TAXI CONVERSION SCHEME
A spokesman for the Transport Department announced today (Tuesday) that all registered owners of public cars have been informed
in writing of the details of the scheme for converting public cars into
urban taxis or private cars with a hire car permit.
The spokesman advised that any registered owners of public cars
who have not received the letter yet should call at the Public Vehicle
Section of the Transport Department in Murray Road Multi-storey Carpark
with their identity cards or certificates of incorporation (in case of
limited companies) to obtain a copy of the letter for reference.
