Mr. Balwant Sint
A
Kr, Balwant Singh joined the Medical and Health Department
in 1944 as a Student Nurse and was transferred to the Prisons Department
28 a Dresser in 1954.
In recent years, he played an iriportant role in the development
of the department's nursing service.
Mr. Singh was also the liaison officer between the Medical and
Health Department end the Prisons Department, thus helping further to
improve nursing standards within the Prison Service. He retired in 1976.

Squadron Leader Luiz Maria Souza, A.E.
quadron Leader Souza has over 26 years service with the
R.H.K.A.A.F. and throughout that period he gave service of a very high
order. He had been a member of the equipment section since he joined
and was the officer in charge since 1966.
San, Ldr, Souza did much to maintain the high standards of the
unit. He retired in 1976.

Mrs. Jean Cassels
lirs. Cassels was instrumental in establishing an English
Brailling Unit under the auspicco of the American Women's Association,
She ran the Unit for 20 years, and devoted herself to training
braillists and supervising the brailling of English books,
Mrs. Cassels was Chairman of the ... project for the Blind,
a Council Member of the Hong Kong Society for the Blind and a Committee
