$40 MILLION WORTH OF CONTRACTS AWARDED IN SEPTEMBER
The Housing Authority awarded eight contracts in September
totalling almost $40 million in value.
The largest was valued at nearly $32.3 million and was awarded
for the construction of an extension to Cheung Ching Estate on Tsing Yi
island.
Another big contract valued at close to $3.3 million was for
the construction of a Licensed Area at Kowloon Bay. A contract for a
Licensed Area at Ap Lei Chau was valued at $1.9 million.
Other contracts awarded during the month were :
water pump installation at Cheung Ching Estate ($502,855);
fire service installation at Fu Shan Estate ($456,681)
electrical installations at Ap Lei Chau and Kowloon Bay
Licensed Areas ($706,800);
piling at Tai Hang Tung Estate ($855,066).
Tenancy Agreements were signed in September for a total of
seven shops at Lai King, Lek Yuen, Qi Man, Kwai Shing and Fuk Loi
Tenancy agreements were also signed for a factory at Tai Wo
Hau Estate and for shop stalls at Lai King and Mei Tung Estates
Estates.
Cleansing contracts for Yuen Long, San Fat and Lok Fu Estates
were awarded totalling just over $638,500.
