Families Offered Public Housing

9, Kwai Shing Estate.

Mrs. Wong, the grandmother, said she was happy with what she had been

offered by the Housing Department and that she considered the rent of $180 a month

for the new flat to be very reasonable.

"I am most happy in finding that many of my former neighbours also live

in the same block and I enjoy very much the pleasant environment here," she said

today.

and industrial undertakings are the essential factors of a successful squatter

clearance.

and over 100 pigsties and cultivators.

Mr. Lee Heung-cheuk, Senior Housing Manager in charge of the clearance,

described it as one of the smoothest operations he had experienced.
