JANUARY'S WEATHER

The weather last month was dry with above normal sunshine.

The total rainfall for the month was only 3.9 mm which was

27.8 mm below normal.

The total sunshine during January amounted to 169.1 hours,

representing 23.7 hours above normal,

During the month, no tropical cyclone warning signals or

'strong monsoon signals were hoisted and no thunderstorm or heavy rain

warnings were issued. However, one aircraft was diverted due to

adverse weather conditions,

A maximum temperature of 23.8 degree Celsius was recorded on

January 19 and 21, and a minimum temperature of 10.8 degrees was recorded

on January 2.
