GOVERNOR RETURNING TOMORROW
Note to Editors:
The Governor, Sir Murray MacLehose, and Lady MacLehose
will return to Hong Kong tomorrow after a six-week holiday in
Britain.
They will arrive at Kai Tak airport on flight BA 802.
The estated time of arrival is 5.15 p.m.
During their stay in Britain, Sir Murray and Lady
TacLchose tool: time off to attend the launching ceremony of a
bulk carrier owned by Hong Kong's Worldwide Shipping Group in
Glasgow.
Sir lurray also interrupted his holiday to attend
discussions held in London on the security of Hong Kong's
sterling balances.
Last Wednesday, he had informal discussions in London
with members of the Chamber of Chinese Traders there.
Tomorrow afternoon, 3ir Murray and Lady MacLehose will
be met on arrival by the Acting Governor, Sir Hugh Norman-Walker,
the Commander British Forces, Sir Richard Ward, the acting
Colonial Secretary, lir. Denys Roberts, the Director of Protocol,
Brig. R.C. Lewthwaite, the Hon. Sir Sidney Gordon and the Hon.
Scoto Hai.
The Governor will meet the press in the V.I.P. press
room before returning to Government House.
Fress representatives should assemble in the airport
press roon half an hour before the scheduled time of arrival.
