RISE IN IMMIGRATION TRAFFIC

A total of 3,036,863 travellers entered or left Hong Kong

during the first four months of the current financial year (April to

July).

This was more than half a million over last year's corresponding

figure of 2,498,685 and represents an increase of 21.8 per cent in land,

air and sea traffic.

said that it was part of a general worldwide trend which had been noted

in recent years.
