He emphasised the need for more people to be aware and make use

of the compensation scheme.

The scheme is non-means tested which means that anyone, rich

or poor, can claim compensation for any personal injuries, disability or

fatality resulting from a violent crime, preventing a crime or the use

of weapon by a law enforcement officer in the execution of his duty.
