In summing up, Mr. Wilson said traffic congestion could be avoided
if the right buttons were pushed and if it was recognised that human beings
must put themselves in firm control of motor vehicles, not the other way around.
"Life will be insupportable," he stressed, "if we allow vehicles
to dictate how we are to live."
