HONG KONG TRAINING COUNCIL

The membership and terms of reference of the proposed Hong

Kong Training Council will be announced very soon.

The Commissioner of Labour, the Hon. Paul Tsui, in reply to

a question on the progress of the Council by Dr. the Hon. S.Y. Chung,

said the government was now in touch with the prospective chairman

concerning the details.

Since January the coordination of matters which were the concern

of the Industrial Training Advisory Committee and which will be that of

the new council, has been undertaken by the respective branches of the Labour Department, he said.
