He has also been actively associated with the Hong Kong Schools

Music and Speech Association as Secretary and for the past seven years as

Chairman.

He was largely responsible for developing the annual schools music

and speech festival into one of the largest of its kind in the world, which

enjoys an international reputation for organisation and high standards.

Mr. Parker is now acting Deputy Chief Inspector of Schools.
