GIS OFFICERS POSTED TO VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS

To Help Improve Liaison With The Press And Public

Ten experienced officers of the Government Information Services

have been seconded to ten other departments for Press liaison and public

relations work,

Their appointments, published in the Gazette today, are part of

the Government's plan to establish closer contact and promote better understanding with the public.

The departments strengthened with these G.I.S. officers are those

whose daily work involves a great deal of direct contact with the people.
