ORIGIN CRITERIA AND QUOTA RULE

For Exports Of Restrained Finished Piecegoods

The Director of Commerce and Industry today issued a number of

Notices to Exporters in connection with the export of restrained finished

piecegoods to overseas marketa.

The notices concern the adoption of the revised origin criteria as the

quota rule for the export of these goods to all markets, with the exception

of exports of cotton denims to Australia.

Trade associations and companies on the Commerce and Industry

Department's mailing list for the relevant notices will shortly be receiving

copies.

Copies are also available from the department's receptionist counter

on the ground floor.
