LIVE RADIC COVERAGE OF BUDGET SESSIONS

Financial Secretary To Go On Air For Short Budget Talk

There will be live radio coverage on Wednesday when the

Financial Secretary, the Hon. C.P. Haddon-Cave, presents his budget

proposals to the Legislative Council.

For the first time, in addition to the English Services,

the Chinese Services of Radio Hong Kong will broadcast the session

live through simultaneous translation, starting at 2.30 p.m.

The Financial Secretary will go on radio and television

on Wednesday evening to give a short talk on the Budget.

This can be heard in Radio Hong Kong's "Topics P!" at

6.10 p.m.; in Commercial Radio's News Bulletin at 6 p.a. and on

TVB and RTV at 7.30 p.E.

Hr. Lau Wah-sum, Assistant Financial Secretary, will

give a similar talk in Chinese.

He can be heard at 7 p.m. on "Topical Events" of Radio Hong Kong's Chinese Service, at 6.03 p.m. on "Topical Events" of

Commercial Radio's Chinese Service, and on TVE and RTV at 7.55 p.m.

and 10.15 p.2. respectively.

Highlights and excerpts from the Budget Day session will be carried in the regular news services of the television and

radio stations.

HK-TVD vill screen extracts during news broadcasts at

7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. on their English and Chinese Channels

respectively,
