BUILDINGS DECLARED DANGEROUS
Three buildings in Kowloon City, Nos. 6, 8, and 10 Shing Lung Street,
were today (Wednesday) declared liable to become dangerous by the Building
Authority.
The Principal Government Building Surveyor said in a statement this
morning that these pre-war buildings were inspected following a fire resulting
in damage to Nos. 12, 14 and 16 Shing Lung Street. These buildings have
already been closed and are awaiting demolition.
Investigations showed that the party walls of these buildings are
in an unsatisfactory condition. There is a risk of collapse during or after
the demolition of the adjoining buildings.
Notices of intention to apply for Closure Orders in Kowloon District
Court at 9.30 a.m. on March 15, 1973 were posted today.
