Notice of the special award was made by Mr. G.R. Sneath, Acting
Attorney General, in the Legislative Council on Wednesday, December 13, 1972.
Under Section 95 of the Interpretation Ordinance, the Legislative
Council may award compensation to any person injured while carrying out
a moral duty to assist in the prevention of crime.
