NEW SPEED LIMIT AND CLEARWAY ON WATERFRONT ROAD
The Transport Department today announced that with effect from
10 a.m. on Friday (December 8), the speed limit on Waterfront Road between
Arsenal Street and Hing Fat Street will be raised to 40 m.p.h.
However, on either side of the flyover complex in the centre,
advisory signs will indicate a lower safe speed limit.
Also with effect from 10 a.m, on Friday, a clearway system will
be imposed on Waterfont Road between Tonnochy Road and Hing Fat Street.
All motor vehicles, except franchised buses, will be prohibited
from stopping to pick up or set down passengers and to load or unload goods.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.
