MESSAGE TO THE QUEEN
The Governor, Sir Murray MacLehose, has sent a message of
congratulations to the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh on the occasion of
their Silver Wedding Anniversary.
The message sent through the Secretary of State conveys the
good wishes of the people of Hong Kong.
The message reads: "On the occasion of the Silver Wedding
Anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen I should be grateful if you would
submit to Her Majesty and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh with
my humble duty the good wishes of the people of Hong Kong."
