The 14-day time limit was removed as an emergency measure by the
Buildings (Amendment) Ordinance 1972.
Another provision substitutes 60 days for the period of 28 days after which approval of plans submitted to the Building Authority may be considered
to have been granted by default.
Mr. Robson pointed out that the period during which the Building Authority had to either consent to or refuse the commencement of building
works remained unaltered at 28 days.
