SURPLUS IN ACCOUNTS FOR JULY
The Hong Kong Government accounts for the month of July, show a surplus
of $81.08 million compared with a surplus of $7.76 million in July last year.
This has resulted in a total deficit of $2.24 million for the first
four months of this financial year. In the past three years, the accounts
have been in surplus at the end of the first four months.
Total revenue for the month at $353.06 million was $89.21 million
more than in July 1971. Expenditure amounted to $271.99 million, an increase
of $15.90 million over the same month last year..
