WORK TO IMPROVE FACILITIES
At Lion Rock Park
Construction work to improve facilities of the Lion Rock Park, a
popular recreation spot, will start soon.
The Lion Rock Park is visited by a large number of the public on weekends
and holidays. However, the existing toilet facilities are inadequate and there
is no shelter from the sun.
The project involves the construction of a pavilion at a position
overlooking the Kowloon Peninsula, a number of barbecue pits in the more
secluded areas of the Park and a four-seater latrine near the existing car park,
Furthermore, for safety reasons, a number of concrete bollards are
to be put in the vicinity of the existing car park to separate vehicles from
the pedestrian area of the Park.
Construction work of the project is expected to start in July this
year and will take about four months to complete.
