The project will entail widening of certain sections of Gascoigne
Road and Kansu Street, and necessitate temporary traffic diversion and
re-routing during construction. Some land resumption is essential for
the construction of the elevated road.
An announcement in the Government Gazette giving notice of an
order to be made under the Streets (Alteration) Ordinance for these
projects has been made.
The closing date for objection will be June 12, 1972 and any
claims for compensation shall be made by July 12, 1972.
