Mr. Lee referred to the nursery, youth, health and community

services in the building being made available by government departments

and various agencies. He had every confidence they would be used to

the maximum benefit of the estate's residents.

Of the Social Welfare Department's Estate Community Work Office,

he said it would work with the local community and the agencies within the building "to encourage the development of community groups and

volunteer services, help residents identify their needs, and co-operate

so that appropriate, action could be taken for community betterment."
