WONG TAI SIN DISTRICT COMMITTEE ON WELFARE SERVICES FOR THE AGED

Miss Annie Chan, Assistant Director (Social Work)

of Social Welfare, will tomorrow, Thursday, March 30,

inaugurate the new Wong Tai Sin District Committee on Welfare Services For The Aged at a ceremony at 5.30 p.m. in the Social Welfare Department's Wong Tai Sin Community Centre. The committee was set up

this February as a result of surveys, seminars,

discussions and meetings lasting two years. It is

composed of various organisations interested in

promoting services for the aged, and is aimed at educating the public towards showing more concern for the elderly. Agencies represented on the committee include Kaifong associations, the churches,

the City District Office, the District Scout

Association, hospitals, infirmaries, and homes

for the aged. A dinner for 250 clderly residents

will follow the inauguration ceremony. You are

invited to have both occasions covered.
