$4,500 RAISED BY INMATES FOR CHEST

A cheque of $4,500, raised by 20 inmates of the Tai Lan Treatment

Centre through taking part in the "Walk for a Million" on March 5, 1972,

will be presented to the Community Chest tomorrow (Thursday).

The presentation ceremony will take place at 12 noon in the

Assembly Hall of the Tai Lam Treatment Centre.

One of the inmates, who took part in the walk, will present

the cheque to Mr. Yu Look-yau, who will receive it on behalf of the

Community Chest.

The 20 inmates who took part in the walk had been sponsored by

a prominent resident at the rate of $150 per person, subject to completion

of the course. Ten other staff members, including the Superintendent

of the Centre, also took part in the walk.
