MR. K.MA. BARNETT. 0.B.E.
Mr. Barnett has in the course of his thirty-five years sorvico in
the Government of Hong Kong served in a variety of senior posts. In
particular ho was rosponsible for the meticulous planning and execution of
the 1961 consus and subsoquant by-congis. In his prosont post as Commissionor
of Consus and Statistical Planning he has played a major part in providing
a statistical framework for Hong Kong.
DR. H.S.X. FAN, Q.B.E-
Dr. Fang has gained a world-wide reputation as an orthopaedic
surgoon and a teacher of his speciality. He has interested himself
particularly in physically handicapped children and others in Hong Kong and
has actively fostered good relations botwoon the Medical and Health Department
and privato practitioners.
HON. LES CO-WEI O.B.E
Mr. Leo has served on the Trade and Industry Advisory Board sinco
1964 and has ropresented Hong Kong abroad at a mumber of important trado
mootings. Ho has given gonerously of his timo and ability to servico on
many Govorimont, Univorgity and charitable committoos and organisations.
His compotence in his special field of banking and international financo
has boon of particular value to Hong Kong.
MR. F. DE F. STRATTON. 0.3.5.
Sinco his appointment to the post of Principal Magistrate in 1966,
Mr. Stratton has discharged the onerous duties of that post in a most
commondablo marmor. Ho faced a particularly difficult poriod during 1967,
when he balanced restraint with firmness to overcome a difficult situation
in the courts. Throughout his sorvico Mr. Stratton has exhibited tha
greatest dotormination in maintaining high standards in the administration
of the magistratos courts.
