        "content_text": "## \n2) The Wallis Meredith Esquire,\n\n27.-That he has been in the Service of the Colony for three years, and five months.\n\n3rd.-That in the course of that Service he has been absent on leave on several occasions, at the dates and for the terms specified below, viz:——— \n\n4th.--That provision has been made for the due execution of his office during his absence by the appointment of Mr. I.         "content_text": "I hereby certify, that with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of Government,\n\nI have granted to Wm. Meredith D...ane, Superintendent of Police, leave of absence for 7 Months and 26 Days.\n\nGovernment House, Hong Kong, 28th October, 1869\n\nI hereby certify, that Wm. Deane, Superintendent of Police has received Full Salary at the rate of £800 per Annum up to the 1st of November 1869.\n\nThe Half Salary will be drawn by Mr Deane's Agent in the Colony.\n\nF. Falla, Colonial Treasurer.\n\nNOTE.
