Keymington.\n\nNo.43012/1915.\n\nThe Colonial Nursery\n\nAvebury Imperial Institute\n\nBAN:\n\nDecember the 17th 1916.\n\nSir,\n\n60\n\nIn further reference to the letter from the Department of September the 21st, 1915, the Nursing Committee have pleasure in recommending Miss L.E. Graham to the Secretary of State as a suitable candidate for appointment of Nursing Sister on the Private Nursing Staff of Hong Kong.\n\nIn this connection, Miss Graham has been known to the Committee since 1910, when her name was placed on the books. In the following year she was selected by them for the post of Private Nurse in Mauritius, where she served satisfactorily for three years, when her agreement terminated. Since then, Miss Graham has been employed for nine months in Charing Cross Hospital, in order to bring herself up to date in Hospital methods. Michelin et Cie, Clermont Ferrand, the exporters of the goods, that they have obtained from the Customs Authorities at Marseilles, a certificate to the effect that the shipment was regularly authorised by them, they being satisfied, of course, that the goods were actually destined to Messrs A. Michelin et Cie's clients in Manilla, and this certificate has been forwarded to the Nippon Yusen Kaisha at Hong Kong, in order that they might present it to the British Authorities there.\n\nOur friends in France have so far not received any further news of the shipment, and they are now communicating in the matter with the French Consul at Hong Kong.\n\nIn order to facilitate the release of the goods, if this has not already been effected, we shall be obliged if you will kindly make a brief telegraphic enquiry, at our expense, in accordance with the suggestion contained in the letter from the Foreign Office.\n\nThanking you in anticipation,\n\nWe are, Sir,\n\nYours faithfully,\n\nMICHELIN TYRE CO LTD.\n\nPer\n\nALL CORRESPONDENCE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO THE FIRM,\n\nDirector\n\nCommercial Manager",
