Investing in shares is rather like driving a motor-car. If the investor goes too slow, he might just as well get out and walk. If he goes too fast, sooner or later he will hit some- thing with a fearful bang.
Most investors plainly understand when they should apply the brake to their activities, and when they need a touch of the accelerator.
But driving a car merely on these two controls can give a very ferky ride. And it is exact- ly the same for the investor.
