unique in the Colony took place yesterday in the form of a mountain-climbing marathon, which entailed the conquering, en masse, of Taimoshan, 3.124 feet above sea level.
All but three of the 107 Chinese in all walks of life who entered the rave reached the flag, planted on: the summit. A 20-year-oli factory hand, Lai Siu-lus,
was the
first to reach the flag, completing the ascent in 49-25 minutes. Two ladies were among the elimbers.
