Nuerburgring, Aug. 6. Stirling Moss, Britain's 31-year-old cham
pion racing driver, led almost from start to finish to win the German and European Grand Prix here today. Moss's brilliant driving round the tortuous, 174-bend Nuerburgring Circuit in Rob Walker's Lotus gave him victory over the more powerful Ferraris.
He covered the 15 laps totalling 342.1 kilometres (211.2 miles) in 2 hours 18 minutes 12.4 seconds at an average speed of 148.6 kph (92.3 mph).
