Miramar Convention

Hall was an occasion simply bursting at the seams with fashion and femininity.

Down the length or the long, Jong room rom the narrow stage and it must have taken a lot of courage, as the lights dimmed around the rest of us and the footlights came up on the car- peted ramp, for the first con- testant to take the first step on that long, tong walk under two thousand watchful eyes.

Striking

But the beautifully groomed and poked girls who paraded before us admirably showed how It should be done.

There were many striking fashions worn as the contestants paraded first in day wear, then playsuits and finally in evening
