Identity card holders told to re-register

All persons living in Hong-

kong, Kowloon and Trun Wan who hold identity cards bearing registration numbors in tho sorios 233,001 to 238,000 gre now required to re-register with the Commissioner of Registration for the issue of now-type identity cards. According to an order made by the Governor under the Re- istration of Persons Ordinance, 1000 and published In Govern- ment Gazette today the familles of these people also have to re- register at the same time.

Thin cider does not supercede the previous orders made for the re-registration of all holders of old idently cards bearing registration numbers in the reries 1,001 to 233,000, together with their familler. Such per- zones who have not yet re- registeted should do so as soon as possible.

Also, this order does not apply to hohters of identity cards bear- Ing the sux "A" ps the JC- registration of persons with these identity cards will lake place at a later date.
