The Royal Hongkong Jockey Club's 13th Race Meeting tomor- row afternoon at the Valley will ring down the curtain on the 1960-61 racing season..
The completion of this meeting will mean the end of another season of most enjoyable racing and a record crowd con be expected tomorrow. The first saddling bell will be rung at 1.30 pm with the first race starting at 2.00 pm sharp.
There are nine events on the programme, the most important being the Hongkong Derby to be cuntested by the pick of the Griffins over 1001 Subscription the distance of about 1 Mile 3 Furlongs 65 Yards. This will be the first time in the history of local racing that this classic race is run over this distance instead of the usual one-and-half miles. This race will be run at 3.00 pm.
On the Derby rests a fortune for the person who holds the ticket which draws the winning hore, as there is a mammoth Conh Sweep on the race.
